It’s
a Win-Win for the Flamborough Tyke MDs
With the sting of the loss against the Oakville Rangers 2 still fresh on their minds, the Flamborough Sabres met with the Stoney Creek Warriors at their Valley Park Arena on January 30th to answer the call. Even with a 0-0 end to the first period and the Warriors pulling their netminder in the third, The Sabres walked away with the “W” and a 5-2 final score.
On February 7th at their Carlisle Community Centre, the Flamborough Sabres again met with the first place Oakville Rangers 2. Focused practices coupled with the encouragement of Coaches Beau, Shawn, Mike and Marlon meant that the Sabres were up for the challenge.
Great passing and breakouts by the Sabres saw the scoreboards reading 5-0 in the third - and for those who were there to witness it, an “air” puck that landed in the crease by the Rangers saw that same scoreboard change to 5-1. The Sabres walked away with another “W” and a final score of 6-1.
The Sabres Tyke MD face off against the Hespeler Shamrocks at their Hespeler Arena tonight and against Centre Wellington Fusion 1 on February 11th at Harry Howell. Come out and cheer them on!
