The Novice AA team is off to a flying start with their first tournament win of the season.
After a couple of tough losses on day 1 of the tournament, the Sabres regrouped for day 2. Saturday, Sept. 8 started with a decisive 8-5 win against Burlington in the morning and an exciting 5-4 win in the semi-final game against Windsor in the afternoon.
The Sabres were keyed up for the final game on Sept. 9 against Guelph. The Sabres took an early lead, but the Guelph team were tough competitors and tied up the game in the third period. The Sabres scored two minutes into the 3 on 3 overtime, sealing the victory. The Novice AA team will be bringing a new banner home to Flamborough.
Congratulations to the players and coaching staff and thanks to the parents for the unwavering (and loud!) support of the team.
