Sabres U9 MD Blue Thanksgiving Donation Drive
Recently the FHA motto of “Building character through sport” was in full effect, when the U9MD-Blue team partnered with the Food with Grace Food Bank with a collective goal to help local families in need of assistance.
Over the Thanksgiving season, players collected much needed food and personal items from their friends and family, and met at the Grace Anglican Church to help sort and categorize 267.5lbs of food and personal items to expedite getting them to families in need.
Our Sabres team would like to thank our family and friends for your generous donations, and thank the Food with Grace Food Bank for helping teach our young players the importance of giving back to our local community.
If you would like to give to the Food with Grace Food Bank, donations of non-perishable items can be dropped off in the Food with Grace boxes at Sobeys, Fortinos, or No Frills in Waterdown, or at Grace Anglican Church Tuesdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Saturdays 10 a.m. to Noon.
