Welcome to the FHA 50th Anniversary Year End Showcase
The
Flamborough Hockey Association would like to welcome you to the 50th Anniversary Year End Showcase
Tournament. You are receiving this email as confirmation that your team
is registered for the tournament running March 30th, 2023 to April 2nd, 2023.
We
are looking forward to welcoming all 68 teams with almost 1200
players!
In
this email you will find tournament information and some things we require from
you. You will also find attached the tournament terms & conditions,
rules, and hotel listings. The schedule for the tournament will
be posted to our Tournament Website on Monday, after some final revisions are
made.
We
are experiencing a high number of emails, so please review this
information carefully as it will cover many FAQs you may have.
TOURNAMENT
PAYMENT:
If
you have NOT already sent payment via cheque or by e-transfer, please do so
ASAP. We will be reaching out with a separate e-mail to those teams that
haven't paid. If your team has not paid by the end of this weekend, we
will be placing a team from our wait list in your spot. If we do not
reach out to request payment then you can consider your team fully paid and
you're good to go.
Payment
can be provided by either method below:
Registration Fee: $1550.00 - 3 game minimum,
includes gate fees for your team and spectators.
• Please make cheques payable to the "Flamborough Hockey Association"
and mail to the following address:

*Please include Team Name, Age Group & Level on cheque (ex. Flamborough
Sabres U10 AA)

TEAMS
THAT WITHDRAW AFTER MARCH 14th WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND
Registration
& Check-In:
Prior
to each game throughout the tournament each coach, manager, and trainer must
come to the registration office to sign in on the game iPad. Below is a
list of where the registration office will be at each arena location.
Harry
Howell – Upstairs Boardroom (at the top of the stairs turn right
and the boardroom is toward rink A)
Carlisle
Arena – Concession Stand immediately to your right when you walk
into the lobby of the rink
JL
Grightmire Market Street Arena – Main floor boardroom (when
you come in the front doors walk towards the ice surface and turn right.
The boardroom is beside the entrance to the men's washrooms
Westoby
Olympic Arena – Boardroom - located toward the back of the rink
TRAVEL
PERMIT/ROSTERS: REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY
You
will be required to submit a travel permit and roster to
[email protected]
immediately.
Rosters are required in some format "pending" or "approved"
from OMHA, Alliance, and governing hockey body (US). You are not able to
participate in the tournament without both of these items. Please submit
them no later than Monday March 20th.

Player
of the Game:
There
will be a player of the game award for each team to hand out after every
game. Please pick up the player of the game puck awards prior to each
game when you sign in at the registration office. Teams will choose their
own player for each game.
FHA YouTube
Channel:
Each
game that is played at Harry Howell Rink B will be live streamed on the FHA
YouTube channel. Below is the link to the channel. Please feel free
to share it with family and friends that can't make it out to your teams
tournament games.

Swag
Bags:
Each
team will receive swag bags with a tournament pin, vouchers for local
businesses, and some other items for every team member. Please pick these
up when you come to register and check-in prior to your first game.
Tournament
Apparel Items:
We
will have Breakaway Distributing onsite at Harry Howell arena for the duration
of the tournament for you to order tournament and other apparel. Payment
for apparel may be made by cash, debit or VISA/MC.
Vendors:
There
will be a number of vendors located at Harry Howell arena inside the lobby,
including Mak's Source for Sports, Breakaway Distributing, EROOM Engraving and
more.
Eroom
Engraving:
Each
of you will be receiving a separate e-mail from Iain Moore from EROOM Engraving
requesting the use of your logo for custom engraved pieces for you to purchase
while at the tournament.
PHOTOGRAPHER:
Digital
Sports Photography will have a photographer
present for games over the weekend at each arena. Photos will be
available for viewing and purchasing in the Lobby at Harry Howell at the vendor
table and are also available online (with instruction flyers provided by the
photographer) after the tournament for a certain period of time.
Food
Trucks & Concession Stands:
There
will be a few different food truck vendors outside of Harry Howell arena
throughout the weekend for you to purchase lunch or dinner before or after your
game. We will also have the concession stand inside Harry Howell and JL
Grightmire Market Street Arena open for your convenience.
We
