Junior Sabres

The Junior Sabres is a development program for Tyke and IP3 players, focused primarily on the development of players interested in playing Rep hockey.  The program is focused on players who have the passion, dedication and skill to receive additional developmental opportunities in addition to their house league hockey.

Players must reside within Flamborough Hockey boundaries; if you have a question regarding your residence and eligibility, please email Kelly Palmer at
[email protected]

The program will consist of two groups: Jr Sabres Minor – players born in 2012 (IP3 age);
Jr Sabres Major – players born in 2011 (Tyke age)

Practices will be held on Monday or Tuesday night at 4pm;

-          Jr Sabres Minor (2012): Monday at 4:00pm – 5:00pm (Harry Howell A)

-          Jr Sabres Major (2011): Tuesday at 4:00pm – 5:00pm (Carlisle)

*The full calendar will be posted soon on flamboroughhockey.com

The cost of the program for this season will be $300.00.

The program will begin with evaluation skates for all interested players on the following dates:

-          Jr Sabres Minor (2012): September 16 at 9:00am (Harry Howell)

-          Jr Sabres Major (2011): September 16 at 10:00am (Harry Howell)

We will make an effort to accommodate all players interested in the program; however if the level of interest exceeds capacity, we will use the results of the evaluation skates to select a team of – 15 skaters; if this is the case, invitations for the program will be emailed shortly after the evaluation skates

Evaluations will be completed by independent evaluators arranged by the FHA.

To register your player for the evaluation skate, please email their full name and D.O.B. to [email protected]

Note: We will continue with our Jr Sabres program for the upcoming season. Jr Sabres will have 1 hour of additional ice-time per week and receive a Jr Sabres jersey and socks. The Jr Sabres Major team will be participating in Tyke Jamboree tournaments. The FHA will cover the cost of 2 tournaments. Other tournaments may be entered but parents will need to cover these costs.
