Minor Peewee AE Sabres win Markham Early Bird Tournament!
Congrats Minor Peewee AE Sabres on a fantastic early bird tournament in Markham this past weekend. The team came together quickly, showing skill, speed and determination. They had a very strong round robin of four games, ranking first place going into the semi-finals. With a 4-2 semi-final win over Stoney Creek, the Sabres clinched their spot in the championship game versus the Newmarket Redmen. The Sabres displayed much perseverance and focus in the game, coming from behind to force overtime at 3-3. Despite a dominant overtime, the game went to a shootout, with the Sabres scoring in the fourth round to win the championship! What a game, what a tournament! A great start to the season! Way to go Sabres!
